Hello, the Sharpshooter
Mini Recaps & Reactions [Ep 1-20]
[ Episode 1 ] Tang Xin, a sports media intern, gets the opportunity to collaborate with Haiya University’s shooting team and live stream the Southeast Shooting Competition. While in the waiting room, she sees a familiar backside with the number 7 and follows the gentleman. Tang Xin is happy to see Shen Qing Yuan, her high school crush, again. She calls out his name, and Shen Qing Yuan approaches her but doesn’t seem to remember her. Though she’s disheartened, Tang Xin doesn’t let this disturb her professionalism. However, during the preliminary round, Shen Qing Yuan starts scoring roughly, not typical to his standard. Shen Qing Yuan concludes that he can’t concentrate with Tang Xin in the room and asks her to leave the event without explaining why. With Tang Xin’s job on the line, she moves to the top of the stand to film instead.
Despite moving her location, Shen Qing Yuan still sees her and is affected during the final round. Shi Xiao Ci, Qing Yuan’s teammate, confronts Tang Xin, letting her know directly that her presence affects Qing Yuan’s performance. Tang Xin knows that successfully live streaming the event will make her an official team member. While she cares for Qing Yuan’s performance, she doesn’t want to stop streaming. Tang Xin asks for Du Ling Feng to block her as she streams. Qing Yuan looks at her and doesn’t see her anymore and scores better; however, his trigger is stuck. At this moment, Tang Xin decides to stop streaming and receives an angry call from her boss.
Episode 1 reactions
I couldn't help but see the divider between the two at 10:14 and realize that it signifies the separation/distance between them. Just a little thought that popped up as well, the team member's name is Yi Tian. Doubt that the name uses the same characters as Hu Yi Tian, but I just wanted to note that. XD I do sense some cliche stuff on memory recollection/recognizing people. :\ Not a huge fan of that kind of trope if it can't be done well. I find it unfair that Tang Xin gets asked to leave when they know she is working. They could've compromised something with her, and why does Shen Qing Yuan keep turning back to look at her if he knows he gets nervous around her?! *facepalms Also, I can't help but think that if the job is that important to the whole team, why are they letting measly interns go and do the job? o.O
[ Episode 2 ] Tang Xin asks Du Ling Feng to help her live stream the last portion of the competition. Shen Qing Yuan is two points behind and scores a lucky perfect score to win the championship. Tang Xin follows him for a live interview and accidentally blurts out questions that lead viewers to assume that these two have some sort of relationship with each other. Qing Yuan throws his jersey on Tang Xin’s camera and walks away. Tang Xin realizes that she has asked questions unrelated to the event while streaming and stops the stream. Yi Tian gave Tang Xin words of encouragement, so she sought out Qing Yuan again, and he allowed her a two-minute interview. Disappointed with Qing Yuan’s answer about his past, Tang Xin agrees not to meet him anymore.
Fate allows them to meet on the plane. They are seatmates, and every move that Tang Xin makes seems to irritate Qing Yuan. When Tang Xin gets back to the office, they celebrate her success with regulating her onto the team. She finds out that she will be partaking in collaboration with Haiya University, meaning that she will meet with Qing Yuan again.
Episode 2 reactions
Their relationship is really vague so far. It seems like there's something between our two leads in the past. They make it seem like it was just Tang Xin's one-sided crush on him, and she expected Qing Yuan to remember her. However, she wouldn't be this upset if he wasn't either. Is this a memory-lost trope? Why doesn't he remember her? Calling out all the cliches left and right already, but we will see how it goes?
[ Episode 3 ] Yi Tian shows Qing Yuan how a cat responds to catnip and suggests that Tang Xin is like catnip to Qing Yuan. Like male animals, Qing Yuan is attracted to the pheromones that Tang Xin releases, and he can’t help but be attracted. Qing Yuan sees Tang Xin’s bag on the chair at the celebration party and decides to pick the seat next to her. Tang Xin wants to sincerely apologize to Qing Yuan about the online rumors, so she follows him outside the venue. Female fans recognize him, and Tang Xin pulls him away. They end up at a night market event, where they spend time snacking and playing games.
Qing Yuan allows himself to get close to Tang Xin but soon finds himself stuck in a dilemma when he notices how much Tang Xin affects his mental state while practicing. This doesn’t go unnoticed by his coach and Xiao Ci. Not wanting to risk shooting, Qing Yuan tells Tang Xin that there will be nothing more between them.
Episode 3 reactions
That panning shot back at around the 9-minute mark to get them inside the heart. Does this signify the start of their relationship? And guys, the part at 24:34... who the heck says, "I think I'm addicted to you" so calm like that?!!! Their past seems more interesting than their present at the moment. It's starting to stray away from the shooting, which I found interesting and is jumping into more romance stuff. Kind of bland, might I say. But why the heck did Qing Yuan confess to Tang Xin, string her along, and then just cut her off like that?? Ugh, I feel just as frustrated as Tang Xin right now!
[ Episode 4 ] Du Ling Feng sees Tang Xin on the side of the road and offers her a ride. They head to a bar where Tang Xin drinks away her heartbreak. Ling Feng posts a photo on his social that captures Tang Xin’s bag in the background. Worried about Tang Xin, Qing Yuan goes to look for her. His attention upsets Tang Xin as Qing Yuan strings her on with his hot and cold attitude. Qing Yuan’s mental state worsens, and his coach decides to terminate the collaboration with Rui Live to get rid of Tang Xin. Ling Feng becomes the main sponsor for the Haiya Shooting Team and officially joins the team.
Episode 4 reactions
Okay, Yi Tian doesn't seem like one to follow Du Ling Feng on social though. So, how is it so coincidental that he saw this photo and showed it to Qing Yuan? Or how popular is Ling Feng? I need a bit more context here because when I get bored, I start to question all "coincidental" moments. Though, I can't believe that Tang Xin's boss needs her to save the day all the time. I don't know why he's the boss if he can't control the situation himself. And why do they make it seem like Qing Yuan has a whole interesting mental background that is yet to be revealed? I swear if it's something simple and dumb to add more watering into the show, I'll be irritated at the "big reveal."
[ Episode 5 ] Ling Feng openly pursues Xiao Ci, but his tactics aren’t working on her. Tang Xin tries to avoid Qing Yuan as she approaches Ling Feng to help Rui Live collaborate with Haiya University again. Ling Feng agrees to help Tang Xin if she passes the trial of being his errand girl. To settle an argument on who gets the dorm room, Ling Feng and Qing Yuan compete in a team paintball shooting match. Ling Feng uses his teammate, Tang Xin, to lower Qing Yuan’s guard and eventually wins the game. As they were leaving, Qing Yuan trips and falls on top of Tang Xin, and they get entangled in a kiss. Tang Xin faints and wakes up at the hospital, thoroughly embarrassed about the situation.
Episode 5 reactions
We got an accidental kiss scene!!! I didn't think we'd get one if I were honest XD I don't know why I thought otherwise, though I think most romantic dramas will at least have one accidental kiss scene. The only difference is that a boy is the clumsy one instead of the girl. I can't even be sad for Qing Yuan. Don't string along a girl like that! The emotional and mental stress I'd get if someone did that to me!
[ Episode 6 ] Dr. Ding happens to be the doctor of the hospital that Tang Xin is staying at. She tries to get Tang Xin to open up about what could have caused her to faint. While Qing Yuan is out grocery shopping, Ling Feng visits Tang Xin at the hospital, bringing her flowers and fruits to apologize to Tang Xin. When Qing Yuan comes back and sees Tang Xin eating the apple Ling Feng brings, he throws it away. He gives her one of the pomegranates he bought, claiming that it has more vitamin C. Tang Xin decides to disclose to Dr. Ding that she used to be in a relationship with Qing Yuan. Tang Xin finally finds out that Qing Yuan is indifferent to her because he got in an accident, causing him to forget some parts of his memories. Thinking that Tang Xin and Qing Yuan could help each other heal, Dr. Ding tries to get them to move in together.
Episode 6 reactions
Wow, we're going to get a kind of "forced" cohabiting a place already or coming soon. I find Dr. Ding and Mr. Zhou's relationship weird. Also, why would Dr. Ding care that much to go out of her way to help her patients like that? It just feels like it's reached a bit too far past it being professional, not that I dislike a doctor being passionate and caring about their patient. It just seems a bit unprofessional, is what I meant. I'm sure most doctors wouldn't force/suggest "treatment" like that. It's filled with loads and loads of cliches, and not in a way where it's so interesting or has a flavor of its own. It uses shooting/the sport as a plot device to focus on the romance.
[ Episode 7 ] Qing Yuan and Tang Xin are living together. They realize that there are certain things, like shower times, that they would have to work out. Qing Yuan is still trying to find out the cause of Tang Xin’s “allergic reaction.” At the same time, Du Ling Feng is actively trying to pursue Xiao Ci. Ling Feng makes it his goal to become her partner and wants Xiao Ci to acknowledge him one day. To do so, Ling Feng makes sure that Xiao Ci and Qing Yuan get separated during partner activities.
Episode 7 reactions
I'm surprised at the lack of sprinkling in romance in here. There were a lot of "in your face" moments. How hard Hu Yi Tian has to bend down, and Xing Fei would lean back. Every time I see it hurts my neck and back as well. If you think about it, it's honestly awkward talking to someone like that. But while Ling Feng is persistent, and while I may find that annoying in real life, I can't help but like the character so far. There is a bit of bias there because of Kido Ma. I haven't mentioned this before, but I like Xiao Ci's cool-girl personality. It's not overdone where it comes off as tomboyish. She has the right amount of sass and personality to not come off as having a snide personality.
[ Episode 8 ] Tang Xin realizes that she’s stuttering a lot throughout the day when speaking to Qing Yuan. She tries to get footage of Ling Feng, but Qing Yuan misunderstands that she wants to be close to Ling Feng. Qing Yuan tries to prevent them from having time together without showing his jealousy. During the mixed match practice, Tang Xin helps Ling Feng pair up with Xiao Ci. They compete in a match, and Ling Feng loses. Qing Yuan hops in to compete with Xiao Ci afterward, and Ling Feng walks out bitterly. Tang Xin follows Ling Feng to console him and seeks Ling Feng’s help. She wants him to partner up with Qing Yuan as it’ll benefit both her job and promote Lingda at the same time. Agreeing to help boost his company image, Ling Feng tries to start an argument with Qing Yuan.
Tang Xin visits Dr. Ding to discuss her stutter and feelings towards Qing Yuan. Back at the university, Qing Yuan gets advice from Yi Tian on how to approach girls. Qing Yuan sees Tang Xin and gives her a ride back to their place on his bicycle. Tang Xin wants to boost her confidence mentally. She remembers that the old Qing Yuan is scared of ghost movies and tries to scare Qing Yuan to feel good about herself.
Episode 8 reactions
I did find it weird that she has this stumble issue out of the blue. She found out about Qing Yuan losing that part of his memory episodes before, but it happened just now, and it happened to be a psychological thing. I don't know, but I smell some plot device. Tang Xin has a conversation with Dr. Ding on falling in love again. If she falls in love with Qing Yuan again, without knowing his current self, wouldn't that mean she's just in love with his past self? Not a lot has changed since, but smaller habits he may have picked up over the few years would make him different. And the episode clearly shows his indifference to please her, which was a thing she liked about him. How he would accept her for who she is. Seeing Qing Yuan trying to please Tang Xin and Tang Xin trying to displease Qing Yuan was an entertaining little bit. I realize Hu Yi Tian plays these low EQ characters in romance a lot. Or that this is a popular trait in Chinese male protagonists.
[ Episode 9 ] Tang Xin requests Qing Yuan to speak to her less and use We Chat to contact her. This will reduce the opportunity for Tang Xin to stutter in front of Qing Yuan. Qing Yuan misunderstands Tang Xin’s request, and Yi Tian continues to give him pointers on pursuing Tang Xin. Yi Tian suggests for Qing Yuan to give Tang Xin something valuable. Ling Feng wants to partner with Xiao Ci and compete against Qing Yuan in the 2vs2 match.Qing Yuan agrees, given that Tang Xin will be his partner. With that statement, he gives Tang Xin his prized jersey.
Tang Xin gets new coworkers, Tang Liqi, her little brother, and Xiao Ai, an aspiring anchor.
Episode 9 reactions
I smell trouble with that new coworker. I applauded Yi Tian when he said that pretty girls like that are like poisonous apples. XD Usually, the background character guys will fall ploy to the pretty girl's tricks. It seems like Yi Tian is smart enough to avoid a bad apple. ;) Ling Feng is finally starting to annoy me a bit with his pestering. He keeps claiming to do things for Lingda, but it's all obviously coming down to Xiao Ci. And, he continuously badgers Xiao Ci about being her partner. Ling Feng should know from Xiao Ci's personality that she's quite fair. If it's a matter of partner for shooting, it shouldn't be an issue if he proves himself. If it's a partner, as in a boyfriend, he still has to work on his personality.
[ Episode 10 ] Qing Yuan teaches Tang Xin how to shoot and decides to stop taking Yi Tian’s tips and do things his way. Tang Xin finds an opportunity to sing to Qing Yuan by inviting the shooting team to karaoke. Tang Xin finally tells Qing Yuan the truth that she stutters around him, and he helps her try to find a way to stop her stuttering by teaching her rhythm.
Episode 10 reactions
Lol, I liked that even though they took a cliche route and had the whole hand-holding teaching moment, Tang Xin still got a 0 and not a high score. I appreciate that Qing Yuan is finally taking it to himself to approach Tang Xin naturally. I do like it that Tang Xin realizes that she can't dwindle on young love as they usually aren't made to last. All the promises that their young self made will not be actualized, and that's okay if one accepts it. While it still has the obvious cliches, I think it's taking a better approach than what I saw in the first hand of episodes. I still don't like how it's taking away from the sport and how it can be more of a sports drama than just romance focused
[ Episode 11 ] Qing Yuan uses the air rifle leather jackets to train Tang Xin, as the insulation can limit the internal forces inside the jacket, such as one’s heartbeat. Tang Xin and Qing Yuan head home after practice, and slowly, Tang Xin finds herself in a better relationship with Qing Yuan. Seeing that Tang Xin will do her rap live stream, Qing Yuan asks to help with her rhythm as she live streams. Successfully finishing her live stream in a bear suit, Tang Xin closes the laptop but forgets to turn off the stream. The live stream continues to film Tang Xin and Qing Yuan inside their living room. It wasn’t until Tang Liqi’s unexpected visit that he saw the recording light still on. Xiao Ai, who was watching the stream uses this opportunity to report Tang Xin at work, as employees cannot have an alternative account to stream.
Episode 11 reactions
As cliche as this is, I don't hate it that much (at this point). I think it has to do with the magic of Hu Yi Tian and Xing Fei. There are a lot of wishy-washy mentions in this drama. Characters are saying one thing and doing another. Like Xiao Ci saying she won't befriend Ling Feng, but she does. Though, I can forgive this one as someone can change their perception about a person. Or how Tang Xin keeps saying that she'll forget their past, but she doesn't. This is a bit of a drag moment, and we'll see how far it takes us. Positive note for this episode is Tang Liqi, and his little blunder of "I'm your idol" to Qing Yuan. XD Already calling Qing Yuan brother-in-law without any questioning. I like the line he draws for himself to give the two "love birds" time together.
[ Episode 12 ] Tang Xin has to draft a new plan for the live stream and struggles to find something to entice the viewers. Tang Liqi convinced Mr. Zhou to forgive Tang Xin by showing him that Tang Xin’s rapping stream gained over 1M views, something Rui Live has yet to achieve. Mr. Zhou allows Tang Xin to rap along with the additional changes Tang Xin made to the new plan. During the 2vs2 match, Tang Xin struggled to score well initially, but Qing Yuan made up for it in the second half by shooting quicker to give Tang Xin more time. Though Xiao Ci and Ling Feng were in the lead, they lost due to Ling Feng’s inability to stay stable throughout the match. During the live stream Q&A with Qing Yuan, a fan asked Qing Yuan’s ideal type.
“The girl I like doesn’t have long hair. She has a small face but is a little chubby. She is timid and vulnerable but positive and optimistic.”
Episode 12 reactions
I love how Tang Liqi has her back without being overly loud and dramatic about it. Sometimes dramas tend to have these characters acting out in anger in place of the lead, but Liqi tries to solve the problem differently, and I love it. His little happy jump also made me happy. The match made me chuckle a bit. I find it quite ridiculous that Tang Xin can score so well when there's Yi Tian who's been on the team for a while and still struggles to score well, at least of the times they present his score. She's scoring just as good as Yi Tian. So if she's that good, she can be on the team herself. I know it's solely written for the story, but I find it quite ridiculous to have it present in there. The only good thing from this match is that Ling Feng seems to get something out of his training sessions with Xiao Ci, even if he's doing it for Xiao Ci. I think they'll play off his character as someone who may become passionate about the sport and not just for Xiao Ci.
[ Episode 13 ] Tang Xin gets called to the office for an emergency, and Qing Yuan follows her to her office. There was a leaked video of a man taking off his clothes in front of Tang Xin, and she’s getting accused of broadcasting indecent streaming. This could prevent Tang Xin from being able to live stream again. Qing Yuan takes Tang Xin out for lunch and sees that she’s feeling uncomfortable. He offers to buy her what she needs and comes back with a bag full of feminine pads.
Tang Liqi finds out that the problematic sexy photo of Tang Xin was photoshopped, and Xiao Ai was detected to be the one who was behind it. While Tang Xin proved herself innocent from the edited photos, she still has to clear her name from the video. Tang Xin and Tang Liqi confront Xiao Ai at the office. Xiao Ai admits to being behind the uploads, but she has the goal of taking over Tang Xin’s position. So Xiao Ai has already took precautions to allow evidence to be pointed back to her.
Episode 13 reactions
I love Tang Liqi being the wingman for his sister - it's cute. And I didn't think that Qing Yuan would come through with the pads XD "You can loosen up while you're with me" Loving how straightforward he is and that their relationship is slowly but surely improving. What I'm not really liking is how they're finding conflicts for Tang Xin to solve every episode or two to add content into this plot. -_-
[ Episode 14 ] Xiao Ci overhears Tang Xin’s conversation in the bathroom. When Tang Xin and Xiao Ci returns, Chen Hai finally makes it to practice. After a heated argument with Qing Yuan, Chen Hai throws his stainless steel bottle towards Qing Yuan. It happens to fly towards Tang Xin, who was close by to Qing Yuan, and he blocks it with his arm. Chen Hai impulsively decides to leave the team, and Qing Yuan investigates why Chen Hai has been missing practice. Finding out that Chen Hai is trying to make money to pay for his mom’s medical bill, Qing Yuan gathers the team to make donations to help Chen Hai, and Chen Hai decides to stay. Xiao Ci tells Qing Yuan about Tang Xin’s issue. At the championships, Tang Xin is absent.
Episode 14 reactions
I don't know why Ling Feng didn't do this earlier, especially when he knew what was happening with Chen Hai. Why did he have to wait this long? He's blaming Qing Yuan for not knowing what was going on but not butting in to prevent the argument or help Chen Hai. -_- Yo, our girl Xiao Ci is such a gem! Not jealous, not in the way, and even helping a girl out! To be honest, my tolerance level for Ling Feng is getting less as the show continues. [Also, loving Liu Yu Ning's opening <3] I don't know why we have Dr. Ding to help the team when it seems like she's only there to help Qing Yuan. Chen Hai appears like he needs some anger management or something along the lines of finding peace. I hate to see that they would only focus on the best player and ignore everyone else when the team is important as a whole, especially when you have a partner or team event. Also, this applies to sports-centered dramas, but I dislike that they would choose the best player to be captain. Maybe it's due to the fact that I have never played any sports or joined a team before. But I realized from group work that the best player or smartest doesn't necessarily mean they're a good leader. There are moments when Qing Yuan does well with leading his team, and other times, he can't do well with the EQ stuff, which is important as well.
[ Episode 15 ] Qing Yuan wins the championship with Xiao Ci, and he uses this opportunity to help clear Tang Xin's name and confess to Tang Xin on live stream. Tang Xin was able to resume her position, and Xiao Ai quits the team after confessing her wrongdoings to Mr. Zhao. DespiteQing Yuan confessing to being Tang Xin's boyfriend, Tang Xin ignores Qing Yuan. She is scared that he is only attracted to her through pheromones.
Episode 15 reactions
"Don't think the layered foundation can cover up your brazen face!" LOL I can't with Tang Liqi! XD I don't know why homegirl Tang Xin is upset that Qing Yuan is attracted to her pheromones, whatever that means. If one is attracted to you, that is still some affection. Qing Yuan wouldn't work that hard just to test out his feelings and confess to her or to test himself. After knowing him previously and understanding him through his teammates and her time with him, Tang Xin should understand who Qing Yuan is by now. These two are just dancing around on their feet.
[ Episode 16 ] Ling Feng confesses to Xiao Ci, and she apologizes for saying he's just a backup. While they enjoy a sweet first kiss, Yi Tian calls them over to play truth or dare. Qing Yuan opts to drink the soy sauce concoction during the game while Tang Xin continuously drinks her Rio. Seeing that she's getting drunk, Qing Yuan stops her. However, Tang Xin bursts out in panic, and everyone leaves. While in her drunken stupor, she confesses that she wishes Qing Yuan could be Little Bear so that it'll be easier for her to be around him.
Qing Yuan approaches his second confession differently this time. He asks Tang Xin to meet him where they went to the carnival. He dresses as Little Bear and gifts Tang Xin a four-leaf clover necklace. Tang Xin admits that she's fallen for Qing Yuan again and accepts his hug.
Episode 16 reactions
I can't believe that Xiao Ci and Ling Feng kiss first. I'm glad that Xiao Ci apologized, though, and didn't just brush it off. Words can be hurtful, and we can tell she wasn't proud of it. I do feel like it was wrong for Qing Yuan to pressure Tang Xin like that. He has been patient with her, but if a girl isn't ready to accept you, you can only continue to woo her. The good thing is that there is positive feedback from Tang Xin. With her insecurities, he should've taken time to understand her first. But Tang Xin shouldn't blame Qing Yuan for her past that he doesn't remember. I think if you're willing to get together with someone again, you should be willing to forgive their past. That Little Bear outfit is adorable with the little belly, but I felt second-hand embarrassment for Qing Yuan while he was dancing XD
[ Episode 17 ] Yi Tian, Ling Feng, and Yang Zhou slacks off during the training for the 8k run and has to meet up in the afternoon for extra training. Wanting to understand Xiao Ci's feelings, Tang Xin asks Xiao Ci out for lunch to talk. It turns out Xiao Ci doesn't have romantic feelings towards Qing Yuan.
Xiao Ci and Ling Feng talk out their feelings and go on a date together. Meanwhile, Tang Xin and Qing Yuan are having trouble being more intimate together. Tang Xin's psychological trauma causes her to have difficulty physically touching Qing Yuan.
Episode 17 reactions
The water bottle kiss! That was cute, but how Yi Tian ruin the lipstick mark XD I felt like it was on purpose. Our love guru should know better than to wipe it off of the bottle XD But at least he redeemed himself and got Qing Yuan another kiss out of it. We're almost to our halfway mark, and it's really romance-centered.
[ Episode 18 ] Qing Yuan automatically enters the national training team. While this is good news for Qing Yuan, he would have to leave for training with the national team. The couple who has just gotten together are reluctant to part, but Tang Xin has another issue at hand. If Qing Yuan leaves for training, she would not have content for her project involving Qing Yuan and Ling Feng. She devises a plan to get more content of Qing Yuan before he goes.
Episode 18 reactions
Qing Yuan's face when he realized that Tang Xin came for Ling Feng and not him XD and how he keeps getting jealous of Ling Feng's interaction even when Ling Feng said Tang Xin isn't his type XD Yikes, I feel Ling Feng's frustration there. Qing Yuan just wants to put him in a tough spot! I realize that there is a lot more physical touch between the two, even if it's unintentional physical touch. Sooner than later, we'll get that kiss scene we're waiting for. I also think it's wrong for Tang Xin to do this mission behind Qing Yuan's back. I don't even know why she doesn't tell him. Qing Yuan listens to everything that she says, and he would be more than willing to help her out. I just don't get why she was so upset with the old Qing Yuan if she's lying to him now. Double standards right there :|
[ Episode 19 ] Tang Xin doesn't tell Qing Yuan about the duo photoshoot with Ling Feng until the photoshoot day. Qing Yuan gets jealous of Ling Feng, and Tang Xin has to console him. After appeasing him, the duo successfully finishes the shoot.
Ling Feng takes Xiao Ci out to dinner. Several girls walk up to Ling Feng, and Xiao Ci voices her concern about how he views her. Meanwhile, Tang Xin and Qing Yuan try to make the best of their time together before he leaves for training.
Episode 19 reactions
This episode was kind of boring to watch. It was a long, filler episode that tried to fill the emptiness of the plot with Tang Xin and Qing Yuan. Then there's Xiao Ci and Ling Feng's dinner date that I feel kind of irritated with. I feel like how Ling Feng answered Xiao Ci's questions wasn't wrong. Those questions were quite leading, and Ling Feng answered them to make Xiao Ci stand out. However, what Xiao Ci feels has already been predetermined, so it would be kind of hard for him to try to answer it to her liking. The good thing is that we now know there's a bit more to Xiao Ci's backstory.
[ Episode 20 ] Tang Xin has a stalker on her tail who confronts her in the dark. Qing Yuan, who was waiting for her outside, scares off the stalker in time. Back at the apartment, Tang Xin kisses Qing Yuan. Qing Yuan is still worried about Tang Xin's assault, decides to give up the opportunity to train with the national team.
Episode 20 reactions
Umm... why did Tang Xin run into an isolated area? I feel like most people in a public space would want to try to go towards a crowd/an area with people, right? The only time I'd try to hide is if I were in a place I know there would be no people for miles. I didn't feel sugary sweet and was impulsively from Tang Xin's end, but we finally got a tiny kiss scene. I'm kind of disappointed that Qing Yuan, who we have seen so passionate about shooting and the target in front of him, turned down a training opportunity to stay with Tang Xin. Maybe I'm not a hopeless romantic, but I didn't see this as sweet. As the team had previously mentioned, it's hard to get into the national training program. For him to give it up... I have no more comments and I'm officially bored again.
